Great British Food Awards 2017

We are very pleased to say that we have been shortlisted in the Great British Food Awards 2017 in two categories – Sweet and Savoury Bake.  The first phase of the judging took place in Essex and the final phase with chef Nathan Outlaw in Cornwall.

The sweet bake, now in the final was our Allotment cake that makes the most of seasonal fruit and vegetables, in addition to Kentish Cobnuts. It is similar to a carrot cake but varies with the seasons The savoury bake was Leek and Kentish Blue cheese tart.

Thank you to great local food suppliers:

Walmestone Growers

Kingcott Dairy

Thanks also goes to one of our very kind customers who grows our Butternut squashes.

The final outcome will be announced in the October edition of the Great British Food Magazine which comes out 8th September.
